Estemere Mansion Tour
This is an invitation to members of the Rocky Mountain ‘T’ Register and the MG Car Club, Rocky Mountain Centre to attend the Estemere Mansion tour followed by a scenic drive to a ‘bring-a-plate’ picnic luncheon and Ice Cream Social at Bud and Ann Silvers home on Saturday July 26th.
The ‘T’ series cars were invited to be on display along the drive leading to the mansion, coordinated by Bud Silvers. The cars on display are requested to arrive at 9:30 AM for placement and the cars will remain parked there until 2:00 PM. All others are requested to arrive by 10:00 AM so we can organize tour groups for those interested in touring the mansion. The organizers are trying to work with our tour group in as close a window as possible.
If we all wear something that displays MG it would be helpful to identify each other. Any portable chairs or picnic blankets will be a good thing to bring in addition to your hats, sunscreen, water…
Bud will be requesting you RSVP for the Ice Cream Social so he can plan for the quantity.
Starting at 11:00 AM people may head over to the Silvers home in Black Forest, about 15 minutes away.
For the ‘bring-a-plate’ picnic luncheon people are requested to bring dishes of food in the following order –
Last names beginning A through M - meats or main dish (this could be sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken)
Last names beginning M through Z - sides and salads
we'll have some sodas there for refreshments
We have a few items we could use some volunteers for –
The people with cars on display will need transport to the Silvers and back if they plan to attend the luncheon. We currently have capacity to transport 7 and possibly 11 people.
We’ll need a volunteer to operate a remote to open the gate at the Silvers community entrance.
We’ll ask some people to be available to communicate with and drive with late arrivals and the final tour groups.
Anyone who would like to coordinate a driving route from a major point of direction, we'll help you communicate it
