MGCC/RMC Annual Mileage Contest
To encourage the enjoyment of driving our MG's, we are starting the First Annual Mileage Contest with a traveling trophy to be awarded at the annual Christmas dinner. The requirements are simple:
1. Just keep track of your mileage driven in your MG (MG's) to meetings, Glenwood, Moab Trips, National meets, rallyes, tours, ice cream runs, shopping, work or any excuse to enjoy your MG.
2. Mileage must be driven in a MG, not another classic marque, not your daily driver, nor being transported on a trailer, even if that trailer ride is due to a breakdown. This contest is designed for fun and to further your enjoyment of your MG. Mileage reporting is on the honor system, nothing will be verified and no money will ever change hands. The only caveat: For your protection, please be certain that your driving is within the parameters of your classic car insurance policy.
3. At the first of each month, notify Jack Knopinski, MGCC/RMC VP, of your mileage and he will keep a spreadsheet of all participants and announce the leaders at each monthly club meeting. For record keeping purposes, provide your odometer reading as of 1/1/2009. If you have been driving your MG in January, just estimate what that setting would have been on 1/1/09.
