Hello fellow car enthusiasts!  My name is Lady Paige Seven and I am your 2023 Tour Author and co-Chairperson for the 71st running of the Rallye Glenwood Springs event, which coincides with the centenary of the MG Car Company!  I am so excited to be a part of the MG Car Club, Rocky Mountain Centre for this 3-day event which will take place from June 9-11.

My tour departs on Friday, June 9th from the Gunther Toody’s parking lot in Littleton, CO, and will take you on a beautiful historical ride to Glenwood Springs.  Our past history often affects the future, so along the way you’ll help me identify a few things that need to be fixed. Be alert to everything to see and read along the way and you’ll be fine – probably.  I look forward to telling you more about me and my mission on Friday.

On Saturday, June 10th, the main event will take place – a time-speed-distance rallye written by my good friend and cohort, Kemal, that departs from, and returns to, the Courtyard Marriott Glenwood Springs, our host hotel. This rallye will test participants’ navigational skills and ability to maintain a specific average speed, while observing speed limits along the route. Be on the lookout for traps!

The event will wrap up on Sunday, June 11th, with a car show and Funkhana in Two Rivers Park. The car show will feature a variety of MGs and other classic cars.  The Funkhana is a timed, low-speed driving event that tests the situational awareness and dexterity of both driver and navigator.  Participant ages may be limited by insurance requirements.

Registration for the event is now open, so don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to showcase your car and skills. We look forward to seeing you at the 71st running of the Rallye Glenwood Springs event!

Tour Classes

You can only enter one class.

The MG class is for all MG vehicles driven on the tour.

The Vintage class is for cars, including MGs, made before 1970.

The Modern class is for all non-MG cars made from 1970 onwards.

First, second, and third place trophies will be presented for each class.

The Saturday Rallye

Registration opens at 7:00 a.m. First Car Departs at 8:01 a.m. from the Courtyard Glenwood Springs, our host hotel.  This year’s Rallye is a traditional Time Speed Distance (TSD) Rallye. The rallyemaster has avoided hard-to-see signs and other annoyances to ensure a fun and challenging rallye experience.  An insurance waiver must be signed by both driver and navigator before departing.

A clipboard, pen/pencil and paper, stopwatch and a well-read copy of the Rallye General Instructions will be helpful. Please visit the MGCC.org website to read the Rallye General Instructions and the Rallye Primer. A draft copy of the Supplement will also be posted, with a final version in your Rallye packet. One or more experienced rallyists will be available at the start location to answer questions.

The route is on paved roads. All assigned speeds will be at or below posted speed limits. There will be breaks along the route, including a lunch break.

Rallye Classes

Novice SOP (Seat of the Pants) – Rallyists are eligible for Novice class until they win a First Place or have competed in THREE TSD Rallyes. Pencil and paper calculations only.
